Pamela Smith Christie is a distinguished senior leader, international educator, and academic researcher with over 20 years of experience in both the UK and Southeast Asia. As the founder and director of Inclusive Future Pte Ltd, she has dedicated her career to advancing mental health, safeguarding, and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) within educational and organisational environments.
Pamela's extensive career spans leadership roles across primary, secondary, and whole-school settings, where she has overseen critical areas such as accreditation, curriculum development, professional learning, and safeguarding. She has led pastoral teams, served as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), and Senior Mental Health Lead at various prestigious institutions in Singapore and Malaysia. Her expertise in mental health and safeguarding led her to develop comprehensive wellbeing initiatives, ensuring that schools comply with international standards while addressing the unique cultural needs of Southeast Asian communities.
In addition to her practical experience, Pamela holds multiple advanced qualifications, including an MSc in Mental Health and Wellbeing in Education, the National Professional Qualification for Headship, a Master of Arts, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education. Her evidence-based approach to mental health education and safeguarding is rooted in her passion for research and her deep understanding of the challenges facing students and professionals in the region.
Pamela is also an accomplished public speaker, having presented on topics such as adolescent identity development and mental health at international conferences, including the Singapore Diversity Collaborative.
